Who we are we?

You’ve felt it too, haven’t you?
That quiet pull toward Africa—the curiosity, the questions, the longing to reconnect with something deeper. I created BRAAFIË Tours for people just like you.

My name is Niadi E. and I started BRAAFIË Tours after answering that call for myself. Born and raised in Durham, North Carolina in a household where conversations about Africa were not discussed because parents needed to focus on more pressing matters, I still felt that “call” to the continent. During the Summer of 2021, I visited for the very first time. I visited again December of that year. In 2022, I packed my bags and spent three months living in Ghana. I needed to see if I could live in this country I’d fallen deeply in love with. I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for—but what I found was clarity, healing, joy, and a sense of home I never knew I needed. That journey changed everything. I knew more of us needed access to this experience—and the confidence to take that first step. And that is when BRAAFIË Tours was born.

We don’t just curate trips back to the African continent. We create life-changing experiences for members of the African diaspora who are ready to rediscover themselves through Africa. We are not exclusive to the African diaspora; however, this demographic of olds are indeed our target audience as we hope to ignite something amongst our community that is necessary for forward progression, unity and upward mobility. To know thyself deeply first is how we begin to even think about dismantling systems of oppression. Through history in not just the United States, but all over the world, melanated folks who look like you and me were trained to hate ourselves. That stops now. That stops with this generation. That stops with this epic transformative rediscovery journey back to Africa.

Whether you’ve never been or you’ve always dreamed of going, we guide you every step of the way—from your first “yes” to your first step on African soil.

We curate adult group tours and private tours, specifically to Ghana, West Africa with future plans to expand to other African destinations. We also have an initiative called BRAAFIË EduTours, which is our branch dedicated to students of color and their teachers, staff and chaperones. We curate study abroad experiences for underserved youth in America. When we help the youth identify who they are early, generational perception, identity and cultural pride begins to change.

We build every trip around 4 core pillars:

  • 🌍 Cultural Reconnection – You deserve to experience Africa beyond the stereotypes. We focus on authentic stories, traditions, and shared history.

  • ✈️ Ease & Accessibility – No stress, no overwhelm. We handle the logistics so you can focus on the moment.

  • 📚 Education & Exchange – You’ll learn with local communities, not just about them. We support meaningful dialogue and shared growth. The transformation our service provides for our young scholars is exactly WHY we do this work.

  • 💛 Community Impact – We partner with local guides, artisans, and businesses so that we are not only consuming the beauty of Ghana, but intentionally pouring in to the country as well. We also offer optional service collaboration opportunities with local schools and NGO’s as a part of your tours.
