Day 1 - Arrival in Accra
Arrive in Ghana’s bustling capital, Accra, where you’ll be warmly welcomed at Kotoka International Airport by your tour guide. Your guide will welcome you the BRAAFIË way — IN STYLE! With our signature tee and other welcome goodies, your journey is just beginning! After a short transfer to your hotel, enjoy a welcome dinner and an overview of Ghana’s rich cultural heritage that you’ll explore in the days ahead.
Today is meant for resting after the long journey! You will have the opportunity to go to the local grocery store to pick up any food items you may need for the evening/next day. You will also have the option to visit the FOREX Bureau to make any money exchanges necessary from your country’s currency to the Ghana Cedi. You will need the rest! The days coming will be full of adventure, culture and memorable moments that you won’t be able to stop talking about!
Day 2 - The Story of Accra
Begin your journey with a tour of Accra’s key historical landmarks. Visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, which honors Ghana’s first president. Walk through Independence Square a significant location in Accra that tells the story of Ghana’s independence on March 6th, 1957 from colonial rule! Visit Accra’s infamous art market as you get the opportunity to patronize local artisans. You will end your day at BOJO beach right outside of Ghana to relax and reflect on the day’s journey!
Day 3 - Cape Coast
Today, you will travel inland (by bus) to Kumasi, the historic center of the Ashanti Empire. Visit the Manhyia Palace Museum to learn about Ashanti kingship and traditions. Explore the Kejetia Market, one of West Africa’s largest, where traders sell everything from handmade jewelry to sacred artifacts.
Day 4 - Eastern region
Your day begins with a scenic drive through winding mountain roads toward the charming town of Aburi. Explore the Aburi Botanical Gardens, one of Ghana’s oldest and most breathtaking natural sanctuaries. Wander beneath towering palms and ancient trees as your guide shares stories of the garden’s colonial past and medicinal plant traditions. Take a moment to relax, breathe, and soak in the tranquility — this is Ghana at its most peaceful.
Next, venture deeper into the hills to discover Boti Falls, a twin waterfall tucked away in the Eastern rainforest. You’ll hear the powerful rush of water long before you see it — two cascades flowing side by side, often called the “male and female” falls. Locals say when they unite, it symbolizes harmony and balance. Capture the beauty, cool off in the mist, and enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by lush greenery.
Continue to Hanging Rock, a natural cliff formation that juts dramatically over the forest canopy. The short hike up rewards you with panoramic views of the valley below — a perfect moment for reflection, photos, and quiet gratitude for the journey so far.
Before returning to Accra, pause at Peduase Valley Resort or a nearby café for an early dinner or fresh juice as the sun sets behind the mountains. It’s a peaceful close to a day filled with adventure, beauty, and renewal — a reminder of Ghana’s natural grace and grounding spirit.
Day 5 - Departure from Accra
Enjoy a farewell lunch and some final shopping for souvenirs such as kente, carvings, or beads. In the evening, transfer to Kotoka International Airport for your departure, carrying with you the unforgettable stories and traditions of Ghana’s northern journey.
